The arches show different scenes of relationship, friendship and love links between more than 60 people who live, work or have a trade in the streets Joaquim Costa and Hospital from Raval in Barcelona.
Each of the arches comes from a photograph made expressly by the photographer María Espeus. From each photograph a group of four unemployed people from the neighborhood, after a training for it, has traced the silhouettes with light hose on metal meshes of work.
The production of these lights is part of the project #RavalKm0, an initiative born in 2015 within the framework of the group Territori Socialment Responsable of the Raval, which seeks to encourage the commercial and social dynamism of the neighborhood, and at the same time generate training opportunities And occupational skills for their neighborhood.
Promoters; Fundació Tot Raval, Impulsem SCCL and Eix Comercial del Raval.
The project was carried out together with the lighting designer María Güell.
Special mention in the Lamp Lighting solutions 2017 Awards and the Opinion Award in the ephemeral interventions category of the Fad Awards for Architecture and Interior Design 2017.
