A collection of chairs made with "la pieza" and another auxiliary element designed to add a back on them. The chairs have been made with the help of different people from different areas, using the particular resources and materials specific to each one.
There are chairs like the ones made with Arrels Foundació (an institution working to help people who are or have been living on the street) with discarded wood and pieces of furniture found on the street; by Careli, a woman working in the domestic cleaning service that has burned pieces of wood with an iron timber; by sellers of fake brand bags in the street; by metal collectors in the street; by Claudia, a sex worker; by a car mechanic using oils; by a broken skate abandoned its owner; by a firefighter with a burned forest wood or by Joana Barcala, an association of urban knitting art, with a piece of wool woven.
The chairs were presented in an exhibition at the gallery Vinçon (Barcelona) during the months of June and July of 2014.
The project was carried out with the invaluable help of Joana Capella.
